Be afraid of not breathing

Our bodies experience waves of energy. Sometimes we are high and happy or lost and low. When we are ecstatic , nobody asks us to be positive or to think good thoughts; in fact, anything that gets us happier.

In my previous blog posts, I had talked about two emotions that are the basis of all other thoughts and feelings. The feeling of euphoria  is due to love, and feeling lost and low is because of fear. Fear of any kind, fear of failure ,loss or even death, is the cause of all misery. When you have previously experienced heartbreak, it is fear that comes to you when you are falling in love again. You fear pain. It is not attachment (as is popularly known) that causes pain.  Attachment is a sign of love and whatever is a part of love, cannot be a cause of misery. Love is pure joy.

It is your fear that is becoming a hurdle in your natural process of growing and evolving. Whereas, love is a feeling of expansion; it is what you are supposed to BE.

Your fear of failure is stopping you from attempting.

Your fear of discomfort is holding you back from moving out of your comfort zone.

Your fear of heartbreak is keeping you from getting attached and loving someone wholeheartedly.

Don’t let it stop your evolution.

Why are we suddenly witnessing so much  intolerance?
Why are those who want to speak up,  being strangled?

Why are politicians making absurd statements these days?

Why is there an outrage against religion?

Are we really progressing and evolving as humans?

The answer to all the ‘whys’ is simple – fear. And no, we are not evolving and progressing like we should. People are afraid to break out of their shells of mind sets, morales, customs, traditions and other societal constraints that exist. The fear of loss of power or authority or whatever they possess so dearly in the lanes of their dark, narrow minds, makes them act out.

If there is anything that you must fear, then fear should be feared itself.
Be afraid of not living your life to the fullest.

Be afraid of not falling in love freely. Be afraid of not being happy and carefree. Be afraid of not being a better person each day.

Be afraid of not growing,  evolving, learning everyday.

Better yet, be afraid of not breathing, because you are not.

  1. Isn’t “being afraid of not living life to the fullest” fear? So is it not this fear that should be feared…
    I’m kidding, of course… Beautifully written… As always…
There is a part of us, in all of us that wants to break free. Some of us blog, others revolt. Some of us rationalize, others spew hatred. It is nothing but human.

    Have fun blogging!

  2. Well done.
    Superb piece of writing.
I don’t have much knowledge about writing but stuff more like this is needed to motivate a person to get rid of fears of life and start accomplishing his/her dreams.
Thumbs up. Keep on blogging. 🙂 🙂
